STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Considering a used car, but not sure where to start? A recent report looking at the most popular used cars on the market might help.
Stacker, a data-driven publication, recently compiled a list of the top-selling used cars in the New York City metro area so far this year using data from CoPilot, an AI-assisted car shopping website.
After pulling data from the online inventory of used car dealers in the Tristate area, a surprising trend emerged.
The crossover, a half-step between a sedan and a full-on SUV, made up 12 of the 25 top-selling used cars. Crossovers almost doubled sedans, the second-best selling vehicle type on the list.
Honda and Toyota also seem to be the most popular brands of cars, appearing in the top 25, The former appearing four and the latter appearing three.
